REY REYNA Rey Reyna started his musical career in the mid 1980’s with Dallas Spanish rock band Montezuma. In early 1990 Rey Reyna rounded up several talented and seasoned musicians and together they formed “Rey Reyna and Aftershock”. The talented group, along with Rey Reyna’s exceptional vocals quickly became DFW’s favorite Tejano band, and giving Rey Reyna the title of “El Consentido de Dallas” Since their inception, Rey Reyna and Aftershock have continued to give their loyal fans Tejano music that will always withstand the test of time. Rey Reyna and Aftershock’s members are Vocalist Rey Reyna, keyboards/accordion and backup vocals Victor Garcia, Guitarist/backup vocals Joshua Ramirez, Bassist George Sanchez and Drummer Johnny Munguia. Comprise group of seasoned as well as versatile professional musicians that make up this group and can only set it apart from other Tejano acts. Rey Reyna & Aftershock are one of the very few groups that compose music, lyrics as well as record and produce their own product. Their first CD "Piensalo Bien" under Little Joe's "Tejano Discos" label gave them instant credibility as serious contenders in this genre. The Piensalo Bien CD yielded many favorite hit songs such as Voy a Cambiar, Piensalo Bien, Confianza, Mi Soledad, Novia Mia Del Alma, and their iconic hit Mi Tejanita which received extensive airplay as far as Mexico. Their second CD "Solo Yo" was well received and also produced several favorites such as Mala Mujer, Si Quierers Mi Amor and Solo Tu Mi Amor a remake of the hit song My Cherie Amor by Stevie Wonder. Aftershock has continued touring where ever Tejano music is appreciated; the internet has well as social media has introduced them globally. With their latest single release Con Amor and soon to be released CD entitled "Contigo’ can only insure that Rey Reyna & Aftershock is here to stay!!!
